Traditional recipes Fagioli all'uccelletto

Ingredients for 4 people:

 

  • 1kg. of Cannellini beans

  • 8 Tuscan sausages

  • 400g. tomato passata

  • 4/5 sage leaves

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt to taste, black pepper to taste

In a large-bottomed pan, fry a clove of garlic with plenty of oil, pour the cannellini beans, after 5 minutes add the sausages. After 5 minutes more add 400 gr of tomato passata and the sage leaves, pepper. Do not add too much salt as Tuscan sausages are savoury.

 

Cook for about 15 minutes, and your Tuscan sausages with beans are ready. If you like you can accompany the dish with a slice of Tuscan bread.
